He was very handsome and pious. He migrated from Baghdad to Hamah and settled there permanently. He died there in 734 AH. His grave is on the bank of Aa’see Canal. Among his children was Sayyed Shams-ud-Din Gilani al-Hamvi. In Nuzhat-ul-Khuwatir the year of his death has been noted to be 734Ah. He wrote very sorrowful verses on the disappearance of his father.
The morning light at Fajr after the darkness of the night was in fact the light of his brightness.
We do not know the cause of his disappearance but we have the image of his beauty in our hearts.
